Wie wir schweben is an examination of the hometown of Wuppertal, photographed one year before moving to another city and in times of Corona.
Through close contact with other people in a small city that retains a village-like character despite its urban structure, it becomes clear how city and community are interwoven. Wuppertal, characterized by its unique topography, the suspension railroad and a tight network of neighbourhoods, becomes the setting for questions of closeness, distance and cohesion in times of crisis.
