Philipp Czampiel (b. 1995) is a Berlin-based freelance photographer and designer originally from Wuppertal, Germany. His work focuses on the documentary exploration of people, urban space, and society, capturing subtle moments that reflect the emotional, social and spatial conditions of contemporary life.
Through intuitive visual storytelling, he creates thoughtful photo series shaped by his observations, experiences, and reflections. His images often emerge from an ongoing engagement with places of quiet intensity – informed by literature, film, music, architecture, and dialogue with others.
The creative process itself becomes central: engaging with a world that is at once poetic, absurd, and tender serves as his way of acknowledging life and the people within it.
His photographic approach connects the seemingly mundane with the deeply meaningful, offering visual narratives that are both personal and socially resonant. Whether observing or working directly with images, Philipp finds joy in making small but significant details visible – and creating space for reflection, connection, and presence.
