Rousseau already argued that technical and social progress alienates people from their original nature. This project examines how green environments such as the Großer Tiergarten in Berlin - the city's “green lung” - can overcome this alienation. As a symbolic retreat in the middle of civilization, the Tiergarten is not only a staged natural space, but also a place that embodies the idea of a communal and egalitarian approach to nature. Here, we encounter people, nature and our own selves, allowing us to reflect on living together and our connection to the environment.
