Philipp Czampiel (b. 1995, Wuppertal) is a documentary photographer whose work moves between intimacy, observation, and confrontation. His images are not objective records but subjective reflections and poetic fragments that combine personal experience with broader social realities.
In long-term projects he explores how people relate to place, memory, and each other. Whether in the streets of Berlin, along the Wupper, or on a hiking path across Germany, his photographs create atmospheres rather than linear narratives.
Rooted in product and strategic design, his practice is guided by an attention to the human experience and a holistic understanding complex contexts. He brings a constructive sense for rhythm and form into photography, where it becomes a tool for creating emotions and meaning.
Through photography he seeks a form of emotional truth—fragile, vulnerable, and participative on eye level.
